Their mark is Bruce Dern, who worked a con of his own in "After Dark, My Sweet." MGM. and Oliver Platt play big-city con men who converge on a sleepy farming town with hopes of setting up a sting. "Diggstown": James Woods, Louis Gossett Jr. Robert Zemeckis directs a cast that also features Tracey Ullman and Isabella Rossellini. Bruce Willis plays a plastic surgeon torn between two women - a vain beauty author (Goldie Hawn) and a snitty actress (Meryl Streep). "Death Becomes Her": A black comedy about the quest for eternal youth, and Dick Clark is nowhere in sight. With Donald Sutherland, Paul "Pee-Wee Herman" Reubens and Luke Perry of TV's "90210" fame. "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer": Cheerleader Kristy Swanson believes she's the longest in a line of women chosen by fate to slay those bothersome bloodsuckers. The Hudlin Brothers produce this musical comedy based on ideas by the late comic Robin Harris. "Bebe's Kids": The first animated theatrical film with an exclusively African-American cast of characters. "Universal Soldier": Hollywood hunks Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren play two lethal killing machines devoid of pain, emotion or memory. "Mo' Money": Damon Wayans of "In Living Color" fame gets his first starring role in this comedy about a reformed street hustler sucked back into a life of crime. James Caan also stars in the latest comedy from Andrew Bergman ("The Freshman, "Soapdish"). "Honeymoon in Vegas": Nicholas Cage, who's still "Wild at Heart," has a close encounter of the marriage kind when he flies to Las Vegas to wed Sarah Jessica Parker. "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid": A zap here, a zing there, and nerdy scientist Rick Moranis accidentally enlarges his baby to King-Kong proportions. Alec Baldwin's promise to love, honor and obey is put to the ultimate test. "Prelude to a Kiss": Based on the hit play by Craig Lucas, this romantic comedy tells the story of a newlywed bride (Meg Ryan) whose soul is switched with the soul of an old man (Sydney Walker).
Ralph Bakshi ("American Pop") directs, blending animation and live action. But when the cartoon jumps off the page, it transforms into Kim Basinger. Gabriel Byrne plays a cartoonist obsessed by the slinkiest pen-and-ink drawing this side of Jessica Rabbit.
